Welcome to the Asian leg of the Namaste Global Expedition!

While the expedition vehicle is being shipped from UK to Singapore in around March 2007, the expedition is travelling from Papua New Guinea to Irian Jaya for an ascent of the Carstenz Pyramid, then by sail westwards through the Indonesian Archipeligo to Singapore.

Then it is overland from Singapore to Nepal for the attempt on Mt Everest before heading north into Tibet, eastwards through Southern China to Shanghai, then Beijing.

Then onto Japan and the long journey westwards through Russia, northern China, Mongolia and the mountain ranges of the “Stans” including the Tien Shan and Pamirs, before heading north through Russia via the Urals mountain range. Finally, touring along the northern coast of Western Russia before a loop through Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

The detailed plans and final timings for this leg of this expedition will be determined in late 2005.
